» Home Birth Peer Group
Madison Birth Center has been offering home birth for about two years. We began slowly by only offering this service to women who had previously given birth and expanded about a year ago to offering the service to all women. Home birth now accounts for a significant percentage our births every month, and we’re the only midwifery practice in the area to offer women and families the option of either the birth center or home birth setting.
Happy Bambino has a support group for women who are planning for or have had a home birth (whether or not you actually gave birth at home). Run by fellow home-birthers, the group meets the last Friday of every month from 10:30 - Noon. The group also has a private list-serve through Yahoo groups. See this link for more details.
