Attorney Melinda Gustafson Gervasi of The Gustafson Law Office will present a free workshop Tuesday May 15th, 6:00-7:30 pm about nominating a guardian for your child. The only legal way to nominate a guardian for your child is in your will. Selecting a godparent is not sufficient! The workshop is limited to 12 families. Please call Madison Birth Center (821-0123) to register.

»  Welcome New (and Returning) Midwives!

Our business is growing and we are happy to announce the addition of a third full-time midwife. Rachel Williston is a certified nurse-midwife who has practiced in home and birth center settings since becoming a midwife six years ago. She has had her own home birth practice in Kansas City for the last two years. She and her family will move to Madison in early June and she will join our practice at that time. Rachel came for a job interview and stayed up all night with Aszani, Anastasia and other staff as we supported two women in labor and birth. After watching her work with our clients and staff, it was an easy decision to offer her the position. Please welcome Rachel when you see her at the birth center.

Hannah Copp worked with us at MBC for about a year before she had her second child and took some time off from practicing midwifery. Hannah will work with us part-time to help cover Anastasia’s maternity leave and assist us during our busy Spring. We’re very pleased to have Hannah back in the birth center again!
