Garage Sale Benefit for Birth Center Clients
Birth and Parenting Options of Madison is hosting a garage sale Friday, September 9th and Saturday, September 10th from 9 am to 4 pm at Abby Jensen’s house, 5209 Milwaukee Street (1 mile east of Stoughton Rd).

More than 20 families have generously donated children’s clothing, toys and household items for the sale.

Infant and children's clothing will sell for around $1.00 and there’s lots to choose from. We’ve got toys, exer-saucers, stroller and car seat set, crib bedding, blankets, stuffed animals, Halloween decorations, dishes, silverware, kitchen gadgets, DVDs, books, and lots of designer men’s and women’s clothing. More is arriving – this sale will be HUGE!

All proceeds will fund the 501(c)(3) charity, Birth and Parenting Options of Madison. This! new non-profit organization was formed by former birth center clients to provide financial assistance to uninsured and underinsured women seeking midwifery care in a birth center setting and to fund childbirth education, parenting education and support services within the community. It will promote the safety and benefits of the midwifery model of care, a holistic approach that treats pregnancy and childbirth as natural processes and without the customary interventions typical of hospital births.

Please come out and support this fantastic charity and take advantage of some really great deals!

Infant and Children’s Shirts
With the number of babies born at the birth center and home nearing 100, we’ve had many requests for MBC shirts for babies. We’ve designed several wonderful cotton shirts in response to these requests. We’ll soon have shirts specifically for our home birth babies and families who were unable to have a baby at the birth center but are still “Birth Center Babies”! Check out these affordable shirts at Cafepress.com.

New Clinic Hours and Provider Schedules
We are very pleased to welcome Hannah Copp, CNM, back to the clinic schedule. Hannah took some time off after giving birth to her son, Silas. Hannah will see clients on Tuesday mornings. The rest of the clinic hours will be shared by Aszani and Julia. Julia has been working for the last week, and is a wonderful addition to our staff. MBC clients should schedule visits so they see all of the providers over the course of their care.
