Madison, WI - Madison Birth Center has become one of only 52 birth centers in the nation to become accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers. To achieve accreditation, a birth center's services are comprehensively evaluated against national standards of quality care. The Commission was founded in 1985 and is comprised of professionals in the fields of obstetrics, family practice, nurse-midwifery, nursing, neonatology, pediatrics and public health.
Accreditation is a mark of excellence - a signal to families, insurance companies and other health care providers that the center has been reviewed by outside evaluators and found to provide consistent high-quality care. Center director, Aszani Kunkler CNM MNS, says "We are honored to achieve this high distinction, and will continue to provide the best childbirth experience available in the Madison area."
Madison Birth Center is Wisconsin's first independent birth center and women's health clinic. It opened on February 1, 2003 and is located at 6720 Frank Lloyd Wright Avenue, Middleton, Wisconsin. For more information, contact Kunkler at 608-821-0123 or via email: Aszani@madisonbirthcenter.com.
