Early Homecare Class
Taught by Madison Birth Center Nurse-Midwives, this class covers normal postpartum and newborn adjustment. Assessment of mother and baby includes recognition of deviations from normal and when to communicate with birth center staff. First time parents receive this class as part of the Natural Childbirth class series. Experienced parents are expected to take the Refresher Class, which covers this curriculum.
