Cost of Care
Madison Birth Center costs substantially less than a normal hospital birth, and provides reasonable payment terms for any costs not covered by insurance. We believe every woman should be free to choose where she has her baby, regardless of insurance limitations.
The quality of personal attention and care provided at the Madison Birth Center is worth investing in. Birth at a freestanding birth center or home is as safe as hospital care for normal healthy pregnant women, with lower rates of intervention.
Please contact the birth center to discuss your individual needs.
Insurance
Most traditional indemnity health insurance companies will cover our care. Please call the Madison Birth Center for information about your specific insurance plan. As a courtesy we will call your insurance company and get an estimate of your eligibility and benefits.
The Madison Birth Center is covered as an in-network or out-of-network provider by almost all non-HMO insurance plans. The birth center’s global fee for all prenatal care, birth, and postpartum services is significantly less than area hospital delivery charges, which makes your out of pocket costs comparable, if not less than a normal vaginal delivery at the hospital.
Please call the Birth Center and we will do a complimentary insurance check to estimate you coverage. Madison Birth Center does accept Badgercare and Badgercare Plus.
