Baby Friendly Designated (BFHI)Madison Birth Center is a free-standing birth center providing holistic women’s health, pregnancy, birth, and after birth care. Our clients choose to birth in our birth center or in their own homes. We provide a warm, relaxed, and safe environment while fostering trusting relationships between our clients and providers throughout your care. All care is provided by certified nurse-midwives and certified professional midwives who are experienced, credentialed practitioners. We use traditional midwifery principles combined with up-to-date healthcare science. Midwives are experts in caring for healthy women experiencing normal pregnancies, and on overall health throughout the lifespan. Our clients receive a level of personal attention and quality of care that is unparalleled in today’s healthcare environment; a midwife is available at all hours of the day and night for our clients. History & Accreditation
CABC-Seal-individual The Madison Birth Center has been serving families in South Wisconsin for years. Founded in 2003 by certified nurse-midwife Aszani Kunkler, Madison Birth Center is Wisconsin’s first free-standing birth center to receive the Nationally Accredited Birth Center designation from the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC), as well as the first “Baby-Friendly” birthing facility in South Central Wisconsin as appointed by the World Health Organization (WHO).
